Before we begin, I’d like to say a special thank you to my husband, Valentine and photographer Mark Gangasingh of Visual Storytelling, and also my wonderful model Vielka Salvador.

SMOKEY SOFT

This look was a variation of the first, and was achieved by making the following changes:

  • On the eyes – Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette shadows in the colours Naked, Creep and Gunmetal ; Makeup Geek shadow in Corrupt; false lashes and an additional coat of Maybelline New York’s Great Lash mascara in Black
  • Cheeks – I deepened the contour in the hollow of the cheeks using MAC’s bronzing powder in Matte Bronze
  • Lips – The pink lipstick was removed and I simply added a bit of L’Oreal’s Infallible 6 HR Never Fail Lipgloss in Blush

SIMPLY CHIC

This look is a bit more daring and was achieved by making the following changes:

  • Eyes – all of the eyeshadow was removed and I drew a thin line near the lashes using Stila Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in the colour Black, on the water line I applied Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in the colour Perversion and then applied more of the Maybelline New York Great Lash mascara in Black
  • Cheeks – I deepened the contour in the hollow of the cheeks using MAC’s bronzing powder in Matte Bronze
  • Lips – MAC lip liner in Mahogany, Sephora Cream Lip Stain in #03 Strawberry Kissed and on top of that, MAC’s Lip Conditioner in clear

Getting Colourful

Hello beauties, welcome to Thea Makeup Artistry’s very first blog post!

Today I wanted to post a few photos from a fabulous fun shoot I did with Photographer Li Welch of Caylight  and Artist, Charrish Ferguson of Caicos Creatives on January 26th, 2014.

The shoot started out with our amazing model Nikeira. Here is a BEFORE photo so you can have an idea of the overall transformation as the shoot progressed.

BEFORE

In the AFTER photo below, you can see that all discolorations and acne scars have been covered and the skin tone has been evened out. This was accomplished by using Sacha Cosmetic’s Kamaflage Foundation which is a full coverage formula along with Revlon’s Colorstay Whipped foundation; I then set the makeup using Sacha’s Pressed Powder.

To “oomph” up the look, the following products were used:
Eyes – Inglot’s eyeshadows #369, #371, #315 and #328; MAC’s gel liner in Blacktrack and  L’oreal’s Telescopic Mascara
Brows – A combination of MAC’s brow pencil in Spiked and  Anastasia Beverly Hills brow powder in Taupe
Lips liner – MAC’s lip pencil in Mahogany
Lipstick – MAC’s Pro Longwear Lipcreme in Soft Sell combined with Revlon’s Matte Stormy Pink #011
No blush or contouring was done.
